Alright, so this past week has been a big one! I started working again at MDN, part time. It was great to be back. I do understand that the economy for architects still hasn't been repaired so I'm thankful to have the opportunity. I really don't have a 'new' job to get used to since I've worked there before, which is nice. On my first day back I was able to jump right in and start working! They had a welcome back card for me, signed by everyone. It was a nice gesture and it made me feel welcomed. I even got a free lunch at Texas Land and Cattle thanks to Chip with Lees Carpet. That's just one perk to my job that I'm glad to have back.
And running....I didn't get to run on Tuesday OR Wednesday. I've been helping out at my dad's work in the afternoons this week so my days have been full. Tuesday didn't allow me the time to run since I had to get to bible study after rushing home and preparing dinner. Wednesday, well, it was rainy and I didn't feel like. Let's be honest. So of course my body was not liking the running yesterday or today. I was able to manage running a mile and a half, but I would have liked to run more. Running is not easy for me...yet, which leaves me feeling discouraged and negative about. Today, I did not want to run, but I heaved myself out the door and did it anyways!
When I'm running at the park, I always want the people that I'm passing up (who are usually walking) to cheer me on. So many times I've come so close to asking the person if they can just tell me to "keep going Sophie!" or "You only have a little bit to go!" or "You're doing great!". You know, just a little something. It would be great to have a bunch of cheerleaders planted throughout the trail. I do usually keep going anyways, but it would be a lot more fun to have someone tell me to do it. My mind plays tricks on me all the time and I often want to stop before my goal line. Thank God that's only happened once.
